Back To School

The CBC kids are sending us photos that represent how they feel about going back to school.

Maria Fernanda has never been to school, does not know how to read, and has been restricted to the confines of her home in the slums for the last 18 months.

She’s a brave little girl and we are grateful for her grandparents, who have encouraged her about the benefits and joys of learning.

It’s going to be a long journey of catching up, particularly for our grades 2, 3 and 4, who have never been to school. Please pray for the children this month. We know that in addition to the excitement, there is also a lot of anxiety and change.
