As part of our celebration we designed a special logo. You can order t-shirts, hoodies, and long sleeved shirts in all sizes. Our hope is that it would spark conversation about the work God is doing in Brazil and prompt you to share the ministry of CBC as you wear them around your community.
40 Years of Ministry
For the month of June and July we are focusing on 40 years of history. We will be sending a special newsletter mid June that will re-cap the key events that have led to the ministry that CBC does today for 250 children. You won’t want to miss this inspiring newsletter. We invite you to set aside some time, check your mailbox or email for out 40th Anniversary Newsletter coming later this month, then grab a cup of coffee or tea as you read, reflect, pray, and join us in celebrating all that God has done. We hope that it will prompt you to partner with us for the next 40 years!!
Teachers Teaching Teachers
Congratulations to Lisiane and Talison who both delivered excellent teacher training to our staff last month. This is a part of our professional development program designed to help our teachers share and grow together.

A Great Opportunity to Double The Impact Of Your Donation
We have a matching grant up to $20,000, which means that every dollar you give in these two months will be matched.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 for:
¨ School Materials
¨ Books and Bibles
¨ Teachers Salaries
¨ Musical Instruments
¨ Sports Equipment
¨ Regular Maintenance
¨ Nutritional Food, and more.
These will be the funds used to keep CBC’s doors open to 260 children, every day of the week this year. As costs rise we estimate that it takes $40 a month/child to provide all our services.
Just like Ciscero, CBC continues to give children with no voice or family, an identity in Jesus Christ.
Now I Am Someone
Marc has a vivid memory from the 1980’s of teaching Ciscero to write his name in charcoal on the sidewalk. He thought it was just a game but when Ciscero finished copying the letters from the piece of paper you can see in his hand, he said “There, now I am someone!”
It’s hard to imagine but some of the street children Marc helped 40 years ago are now approaching their 50th Birthdays. This is incredible, especially given that the average lifespan of a street child in Brazil at the time was only 16!
We started with bread and coffee on the streets. We washed dishes under a mango tree, and we were on trend when we started teaching using typewriters!
Now we are so blessed to have the facilities you see in our monthly newsletters and videos. We are only human and through the years we have experienced success, devastating losses, and difficult challenges, but most importantly we did not give up.
We have given life, hope, and opportunity to thousands of needy children. Through all these years we have been dependent on God’s provision through the love and generosity of our precious partners like you. We cannot emphasize enough our gratitude for believing in us, encouraging us, and equipping us to share the love of Christ to the less fortunate of this world.
