Prayer / Praise
As our students return for the 2nd semester, please pray for enthusiasm and discipline to learn.
We are thankful for all those who have worked on essential maintenance projects at CBC in July while the kids have been on vacation.
What’s In A Logo?

The CBC logo also has a story!
When Marc transitioned from working with street children to teaching them to become the future leaders of Brazil, he had a vision.
The vision was God looking down on earth over the shoulder of a child studying. Now take a look at our logo!
What’s In A Name?
The Channel Inc. Channel to Brazil for Christ
Why does CBC have so many names?
The acronym CBC came from Brazil, where Marc named his organization in Portuguese Crianças do Brasil para Cristo, Children of Brazil for Christ, CBC!
When he came to naming a non-profit in America he made a small change to define what the organization was doing; being a channel of God’s love and mercy from the USA to children in poverty in Brazil.
Channel to Brazil for Christ, also CBC!
When it came to incorporating CBC as a US non profit, Marc chose The Channel Inc. However we operate under our full name Channel to Brazil for Christ.

Generator to Power the Project!

The CBC compound needs a 70kVA diesel generator to power the whole of the project. The frequent power outages in our community are putting at risk some of the basic operations of the ministry. Sometimes the lack of electricity can last from 12 hours to a few days, especially during the rainy season.
It is not just about convenience, it’s about keeping the mission of CBC going. When we lose power:
- The kitchen shuts down, risking food spoilage in the refrigerators and freezers.
- Our drainage pumps stop, putting the entire low-lying area at risk of flooding.
- School activities pause, IT and communications go offline, and emergency lighting is compromised.
- A generator would keep us online, safe, and serving no matter the weather.
That is why we’re raising funds for a generator – a powerful 70 kVA unit with proper housing that will keep everything running during blackouts.
Our goal is $12,000, and thanks to generous supporters like YOU, we’ve already raised just over $4,000.

We’re incredibly grateful, but we still need your help to cross the finish line.
If you’ve ever wondered how you could make a tangible difference here at CBC, this is it. Your gift could literally keep the lights on and the mission moving forward!

Meet Teresa
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV
The purposes of man may be noble. But for me personally, only God ordained purposes have brought me His peace and a sense of balance.

My sister and I were our mom’s primary care givers, until shortly before she died. Mom was legally blind and no longer able to take care of her basic needs. She passed into eternal glory with Jesus Christ in 2024.
I became listless and sullen, feeling like I was no longer fulfilling a purpose that would bring glory to God. Now though, the Lord has opened the door to serve Him through the ministry of Channel to Brazil for Christ (CBC).
Now, I am part of the CBC family. By supporting the team here in Virginia as well as the staff in Brazil, I can be a different kind of care giver. I am following the instructions of our Savior, caring for the “least of these.” The beautiful children of Fortaleza.
