Prayer / Praise

Silvia had successful surgery and is recovering. She is waiting for further test results.

Pray that the fathers of our students would recognize the gift of family, support their spouses and thrive in their relationship with God and with their children.

Message From Marc

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12

What does this verse mean to you?

If we are to embrace the hope of eternal life, we also have to embrace the battle of faith required to reach the finish line.

The story of Rayson (other side) is a daily fight for food, shelter, and survival.

The promise of eternal life is the fuel that keeps us going. I encourage you – don’t give up!

Rayson’s Story

Rayson is 10 years old and in 4th grade at CBC. He lives with his mother and older sister.

Their home is very small and the family survives on a welfare payment of $120 per month. The family often goes hungry and Rayson’s mother lives under tremendous pressure to provide for her children.

Rayson House

She works as a maid where possible. But, this requires long tiring days and returns very low wages. With just one small living area, the family sleeps on mattresses which are piled up during the day to create space.

Rayson Matresses

Rayson is small for his age and is often quiet and sad. He says that at The University of Life he feels protected and heard.

When he is feeling good, he likes to help others in his class. He never misses a day.

Rayson has already thought about his future. He wants to be a police officer to protect people, an electrician, and a soccer player! His dream is to buy his mom a house.

Rayson Praying

Whether you are a Dreambuilder in the US, his teacher in Brazil, or CBC’s cook, we are all working together to equip him for a successful future.

Rayson accepted Jesus at CBC and prays daily for God to protect his family and not let them go hungry.

Situations like Rayson’s ignites all involved with CBC’s ministry to do our best to serve him and his family.

“What a blessing it has been to work as the Donor Manager at CBC. I’ve learned that the heart of this ministry is even more beautiful than I could have imagined.

CBC donors are faithful, loyal, and passionate about the work we are doing in Brazil.

The teachers are empowered by the love of Christ and committed to sharing it with their community.

Our leaders are full of faith, compassion, and love for people.

As life moves me on to a new season, I’m excited to stay connected to CBC as a volunteer and a donor myself.

Thank you all for this beautiful season of ministry together.”
